KIKO – Lasting Gel Eyeliner

Sunday afternoon and I have the rest of the day off, what a dream. It’s the perfect opportunity to make a blog post.

Ok, so family and friend know for sure I love me some KIKO A-NY-THING. You leave me anywhere near a KIKO store, you look away for literally 2 seconds and I’ve went in and out with some kind of purchase. Ups! 

Anyways, since way back in my school days, the only makeup I’d wear would be a simple cat wing and that’s it. Liquid liner was my best friend and I struggled with it for a while but once I got the hangs of it, I wouldn’t leave the house in the morning without my precious cat eye flick.

Lately, and since the invention of felt tip liners, they’re the only thing I’ve used. They’re so quick and easy. But the thing is, the ones I’ve used so far are not as black or long lasting as liquid liners or as I would like them to be. Could be that I haven’t found the right one but…

So I went into KIKO (If you can’t already tell) on the hunt for some liquid liner. I had already tried their Daring Look Eye Marker and it was terrible, the felt tip was too thick, and not precise at all, and after only a week, some days even, it had dried and the product was very hard to get out.

I was looking for an alternative and came home with a liner, but in gel form for only 7,90€. I understand that they’re trickier to apply, and take a bit more time and practice to get right, but once you get it, it stays put all day, the application with an angled brush gives you more precision and the black is as black and opaque as you want it to be.

Still have to practice a bit to get it just right but I feel like I’m going to get a lot of wear out of it this year.

Então, tanto a família como as amigas sabem, de certeza que eu adoro a KIKO, adoro qualquer coisa que seja de lá. Deixas-me perto de uma loja nem que seja por 2 segundos e eu já fui e já voltei com alguma comprinha. Ups!

Bem, nos meus tempos de escola, a unica maquilhagem que eu usava era mesmo aquele simples risquinho preto com um flick no canto exterior (voçês sabem). O eyeliner líquido era o meu melhor amigo e apesar de ter tido algumas dificuldades no inicio, qualdo lhe apanhei o jeito já nem saía de casa sem ele.

Ultimamente, e desde a invenção das canetas com ponta de feltro, não tenho usado mais nada. É  mais rápido aplicar o risco e com pouco esforço para sair bem. Mas tem os seus senãos, como não durarem muito tempo a esborratar ou a cor não ser tão intensa como gostaria que fosse. Se calhar também não encontrei os liners certos mas...

Bom, fui a uma KIKO (caso ainda não tenham percebido) á busca de um eyeliner líquido. Já tinha experimentado o Daring Look Eye Marker desta marca mas é simplesmente horrível, a ponta de feltro é grossa de mais para fazer um risco fino e preciso e além disso, passado uns dias de o comprar , nem chegou a uma semana, já tinha secado, e para tirar a réstia que fosse de produto era uma batalha.

Procurei uma alternativa e acabei por comprar um eyeliner em gel por apenas 7,90€. Eu sei que eles são mais complicados de aplicar, demora-se mais tempo e requerem mais prática, mas acaba por ficar mais fácil.Uma vez posto, não vai a lado nenhum, fica ali perfeito e preto opaco, mesmo como a gente quer. O facto de se aplicar com um pincel dá-nos mais controlo e precisão na linha.

Ainda tenho que praticar um bocadinho mas acho que este ano vou usar muito este eyeliner.
